USB / RS232 sensor

Hi  Can the USB/RS232 sensor communicate via both avenues, or is it normally configured for just one or the other?   The reason I ask, is because I'd like to use a GUI program to send commands via USB, and for sensor output to to be fed to a hardware device via RS232.  The hardware will be monitoring orientation to control some motors.

Thanks G

I already responded to Matt's inquiry via email, but for anyone else who might be wondering, the pinout diagram for the 3-Space embedded sensor can be found at the following link: http://www.yeitechnology.com/productdisplay/3-space-embedded-0#hardware_overview.

I am trying to communicate via RS232. Do you have the pinout for the 4 pin 2.5mm rs232 and power connector? I could find it in the documentation.

Hi Gerald,

Although it is possible to establish a connection via USB and RS232 simultaneously, commands sent through USB will only return data over USB, and the same with RS232. Let us know if you have any more questions!
